In 2000, my wife was taken there from our Kaiser Permanente doctor's office via ambulance. She was having a stroke. They took her out of the ambulance, put her in a wheel chair and rolled her into the ER waiting room. In spite of my constant urging, it was an hour and a half before anyone would see her, and then only because I called our Kaiser Permanente office to get their help. Fortunately, her stroke turned out to be minor. I live less than 3 miles from Southern Regional but I now gladly drive over 20 miles to Piedmont for emergency care.
