Review content:
Summer brings a lot to Columbus, including the CAPA summer movie series. Besides seeing a beautiful landmark downtown, you can experience a classic movie going event at the Ohio theater. Each summer, CAPA presents a series of movies from all different genres, complete with intermissions and organist music.
The theater itself transports you back to when people dressed in hats and gloves to go to the movies or a concert. The tickets are cheap at just a few dollars a piece. And the movies range from North by Northwest to the Godfather trilogy, Titanic, Blazing Saddles, and A Hard Days Night. Some people come all dressed up for a night on the town, while others come straight from class, in jeans, or from work.
The 37th season has just been announced, and CAPA is featuring Gone With the Wind, Mary Poppins, Lost Horizon, Chinatown, Bridge on the River Kwai, & Nat'l Lampoons Animal House, among others. If you've not taken part in this tradition that helps keep a Columbus landmark around, I highly recommend it.
