Review content:
The Anthracite Heritage Museum, in Scranton, Pa, is a wonderful museum. They have wonderful displays, and friendly, knowledgeable tour guides. Admission is very inexpensive, and there is so much to see. The tour starts with a brief video presentation, followed by the walking tour through the museum. They have so much there! The displays are very well done, with a lot of attention to detail, You can visit several times (as we have) and still not soak it all in at once -- there is just so much history there, and each guide has a unique perspective and information to share with guests.
They also have a wonderful gift shop, with something for everyone. Lots of child appealing items, as well as those items appealing to the parents -- absolutely beautiful hand-crafted items and collectibles of all sorts.
They do group tours (schools and other groups) as well as welcoming individuals and families.
