Review content:
M&J Trimming is one of my favorite places to shop in NYC. It carries over a million (that's right) products that top name designers or their representatives flock to the store on a daily basis. Why do they shop here? Simple. They carry the best the world has to offer and magazines like Vogue, Marie Claire, In Style, Cosmopolitan tout them as the creme de la creme. You may be wearing one of their items right now on your pricey jeans (nailheads), sweater (think crystals or rhinestones), coat (fabulous buttons, fur & feathers) or suit (buckles or clasps). They sell both to the trade and home sewing/crafting enthusiast (including yours truly).
You can spend a whole day here just eyeing the merchandise. Luscious colors of the rainbow in silk ribbons from France or hand cast metal buttons from Italy (transformed a jacket I owned into a work of art) or fringe from India that is so exceptionally beautiful and silky.
Huge retailers use their trims and accessories to glam up their products--like Victoria's Secret.
Can't get to their garment center location? No problem. You can shop on-line, however the experience just isn't the same as visiting the store.
