We call this one the Zoo McD's because it's the one on the way to and from the zoo. And these owners know it, that's for sure. They have a HUGE Playplace and birthday room, and the beverages are self-serve since they get so much business. They just did a remodel and gave away great deals upon completion to thank their customers for pardoning their dust.
They get the lowest ranking from me though, in terms of Tacoma area McDs, because their staff is always perpetually under-trained, new or just plain rude. We went there yesterday after the zoo. One of the managers actually YELLED at the young girl who was obviously a new employee and took our order. All I did was order an Asian salad. The manager overheard me ordering it, and before the girl could say that they didn't have it, the manager yelled at her ad nauseum in front of everyone (she just went on and on, how dreadful and tasteless, like their food!). I couldn't believe it, that poor girl was crushed and embarrassed. I would have quit and walked out and told her so! My kids and the other patrons were kinda taken aback by it and we all discussed it while waiting.
Oh yeah, you have to WAIT a LONG TIME to get your food here. Probably because there's such high turnover and poor management that they can't get good people to work here. I'd rather just skip it from now on.
