Review content:
For years my significant other visited the Macneal Offices in Oak Park (on Lake Street) for her health care. While never unhappy with the care- she never had been sick either. A bout with some mystery illness brought her to this Dr.'s office over and over again this past winter. The care she got at this office and the overall level of concern was disgusting. Really. Now I will not bash any individual doctor, but the physician she saw was slow (days on end, even after several ER visits) to return our calls, never could diagnosis her, never treated a single symptom and sent her to some atrocious specialists. When she was able to see the doctor or talk to her the level of care was mediocre at best. Plus I sometimes held for up to 30 minutes just waiting to schedule an appointment over the phone. None of this helped make anyone in the household healthier. Thankfully a change in primary care physicians has my significant other feeling much better- she was sent to great specialists, properly diagnosed and her symptoms were promptly treated. What a difference a good doctor can make.
