Review content:
While I was in town from PA for the week, I stopped in at the Jet Strip for a few hours before catching my flight at LAX. I'd read consistently good reviews on one of the national SC review sites and was eager to check the place out for myself. Sure enough, I was greeted cordially by everyone with whom I interacted (staff attitude is a big thing for me- if I'm taking my business to a club I don't appreciate being treated like the Elephant Man), I had a really terrific meal (the Jet has much better food than most other SC's in which I've eaten), and I got some pretty decent lapdances. The atmosphere is very cozy and familiar; one of the dancers described it as "the 'Cheers' of strip clubs." The club itself is very small and kind of divey, but in an endearing way rather than a dilapidated way. The stage allows for some fairly intimate close-up action, as does the 'catwalk' and the box at the end of the walk (the entire structure is rather key-shaped), and the girls know how to work it; most of the dancers did much more than prance around the pole. Stage is quite nekkid, with lots of floorwork. :) The girls here were quite diverse; I tend to like different types of dancers (and I do require a semi-decent personality if I'm spending my money on lapdances and conversation) and this club had a few Latinas, a couple black girls, brunettes, blondes, two redheads, a couple Brazilian girls, an Asian girl, a few milf-y types... definitely a mix of beautiful shapes and looks. Most importantly, I really only saw a few women with whom i wouldn't have gotten a lapdance; most all of the dancers are extremely pretty. There's also a good mix of real/enhanced breasts; I tend to like natural myself and sometimes I find my selection limited. Those with the opposite preference will be very satisfied as well. The few dancers with whom I ended up spending some time (and money) were wonderful... passionate, spunky, and one or two also pretty intelligent- I was actually pretty impressed... not that one goes looking for an intellectual soulmate in an SC, but sometimes it helps with LD chemistry and dancer creativity! LD's are topless, done in a semi-private 'curtained' area off the main floor. Decent mileage for the price (and for LA); I was definitely pleased with the entire experience. Other random things I liked: -there is NO 'ladies' drink' hustle... other than the initial mandatory purchase, neither the waitresses nor the dancers are pressuring you to buy 'ladies' drinks.' -the music isn't too loud, and it's also not too terrible. I was also pleased to actually hear the DJ announce the girls' names instead of garbled mumble-nonsense. All in all, I would highly recommend the Jet; it's an underrated gem and I will definitely be making my way back soon. Pros: Gorgeous, diverse dancers, great atmosphere, good food. Cons: No alcohol (I like this, but it's not everyone's cup of tea)
