Review content:
Baum's on Florida Boulevard is not in the best location, but you wouldn't go to a bakery after dark anyway, would you? :) They're located near Pier One and Airport Drive on Florida. The parking lot is a little small but usually it's not too hard to get in and out.
The cakes are out of this world, as are the other pastries (cookies, petit fours, brownies, pralines, you name it). The white almond cake, "wedding cake" flavor, is to die for...always incredibly light and fresh.
A couple of years ago I went in to order a cake for my parents' 25th wedding anniversary. I asked to look at their catalog and they had some GORGEOUS cakes but my gosh, were they expensive! The lady behind the counter suggested a cheaper alternative that ended up absolutely beautiful and just as delicious. I thought it was really nice of her to work to find something in my budget!
I've ordered cakes from them on many occasions and they've always been perfect. Gambino's used to be my favorite bakery, but Baum's has definitely won my vote.
