Businiess name:  Barnes & Noble

Review content:
Baton Rouge at the time of this writing only has one Barnes & Noble store, and it's located in the Citiplace shopping center, across the parking lot from the Citiplace Theater. This is off Corporate Boulevard, which runs between College Drive and Jefferson Highway. The store is only a few years old and it's huge. Really huge. You could probably spend the day in this store. They have a coffee shop, and when the weather's nice, you'll find folks enjoying their coffee and new books outside at the patio tables. There is a lot of indoor casual seating, too. I was there about a week ago and they had not one but TWO authors there signing their books (both related to LSU sports). The kids' book area is huge. There is a stage to the right side where they sometimes have book readings and other programs. In the back left, there's a toy train set for younger kids to amuse themselves. The selection is very comprehensive, in the kids' department as well as the rest of the store. The store is two-story, with the elevator located straight in front of the entry door. If you walk into the store and go all the way to the left wall, there is a huge selection of magazines, really, anything you can think about, they have several magazines devoted to it. Another thing I love about B&N is that they always have a big selection of discounted books (this section is to the right when you enter the store, just in front of the checkouts). Checkout is always very fast here. They have a membership card you can buy that will get you a discount on purchases; I've found it to be a great value because we buy a LOT of books there. The bookstore is in a great location next to the theater; a lot of people go there either before or after their movie. Sometimes it's difficult to find good parking at B&N because the theater customers will spill over into their parking lot. If you're looking for a hard to find book, B&N will probably have it for you...and if not, they'll order it for you. Make sure you look online for printable coupons, too; there are usually coupons out for 10% off for non-members and 15% off for members. Wonderful bookstore, highly recommended!
