Review content:
This restaurant is easily serving the best food in Yountville. Although not as exquisite as the French Laundry, what it lacks, it more than makes up for it in atmosphere and artistry. You will come out of the French Laundry satisfied, you will more likely be stuffed and stumbling, but Ad Hoc makes the meal just perfect. The four course combination is just right and even people who don't usually order cheese will appreciate the way cheese is done here. The staff is friendly and attentive, training much like the French Laundry, yet the atmosphere is a lot less stuffy. We have eaten there 4 times in the last 2 months and each time we are still more surprised and enthralled.
