Review content:
Piattis in the University Village does not mess with the tried and true classic recipes of Italian ambiance and cooking. The restaurant is fancy enough with the usual warm colors, simple platewear and friendly servers. The owners of Piatti are not looking to put a modern, hip twist on the romantic Italian restaurant formula. Rather, they depend on the clean, elegant atmosphere of Tuscan colors, building design, and fireplaces. The food, in this sense, is very similar- great Italian recipes without funkification. The vegetable pasta selections are the best, in my opinion. Make sure you dine here during the warm summer months as the small patio is perfect to watch the evening settle in. Enjoy!
