My husband could not have been happier to discover Queen City Brewery in Staunton. This is definitely a hidden treasure in Staunton. Located near Gypsy Hill Park, once can find beer aficionados brewing their own beer nearly every day at Queen City. The hour are really strange though - and often quite frustrating. They are only open Mon-Fri from 4pm to 8pm and Saturday from 2pm to 6pm.
An absolute highlight of Queen City Brewery occurs every Friday night - Brewgrass! This is a free beer-tasting event set to the music of local bluegrass bands. It's a family-friendly event where you will find small children dancing to the music to old men discussing the hops and tastes of each beer (or whatever they're talking about!).
