There are not a lot of name brand products and some of their items may be a bit more than if you bought them a Wal-Mart, but the Save-A-Lot in Chilton is a great grocery store. They have some great prices on their off-brand products and on a lot of their name brands that are on sale. They cover all the normal stuff you would find in a larger grocery store, just with a little less selection. But that isn't why would you shop there. You would shop there because of the prices. In addition to the prices, the Chilton location has a wonderful meat selection. It is small, but it has to be some of the best cuts of meat I have seen. They trim quite a bit of the fat away so you are paying for the meat, not the meat and the fat. Not only do they have the best prices and the best meat in town, but they have some of the best customer service I have ever seen at a grocery store. I showed up one Sunday 15 minutes after they closed (not knowing that they were closed). The staff told me to come on in, that they were just putting stock away. The whole time that I was in the store, the staff would check to see if I was finding everything ok and if I needed anything that they had already put away. Talk about service. I don't think you can find that kind of service anywhere these days.
