1.) good luck canceling your membership! the ever-changing, underpaid, and poorly trained front desk staff will "lose" your faxes, cancellation forms, and consistently disconnect your calls once you decide to cancel your membership. i started the process a month ago, and i still haven't had my cancellation form processed. also, be aware that in addition to losing your paperwork, they will still charge you for the next billing period after your cancellation notice has been received. 2.) your therapists range from "uncomfortable around women", "constant head cold", to "no english spoken here". while good massage therapists do start at massage envy, no one of any talent, ambition, or dedication stays here. for good reason! therapists take home an average of 12.00 an hour after the parent organization gouges that 49.00 fee and tips! be forewarned that if you find one you like, odds are they wont be around often (if they have a private practice or 2nd job) or next month (if they get fed up with making peanuts for working 9 back to back 50 min appointments!). 3.) on the more positive side - scheduling is very convenient. if you want a same day appointment, if you are persistent you can get what you want in terms of time and therapist. just be aware that because massage envy doesnt pay their staff (particularly front desk) a living wage, most people you talk to will be new, and not particularly knowledgeable. rest assured, the large staff pool guarantees that somebody will be there to give you massage. be prepared for variable quality. 4.) its a bargain to get a massage for 49.00...and it really shows at massage envy! Pros: cheap, cheap, cheap Cons: pretty much everything else
