Review content:
I went to IRIE on 12/31/07 to try something different for the New Year for my wife and I, and I was very impressed. I wasn't very familiar with much Jamaican food so I didn't know what to expect. Two other customers (a couple eating at one of the tables) were enjoying their food and politely asked what they had ordered which sparked a pleasant conversation all while hearing their Mmmm's and yum's while eating. So I ordered what they were eating (curry chicken and one of the fishes that started with "E") because they loved what they had. I felt it was the best thing to do not knowing if my wife would like it. The order placed took about ten minutes (because not many were there at the time) but about 5 or 6 customers came in and out as I waited and all were nice people. While you wait you can look at the poster on the walls or watch the tv playing Jamaican programming. Each dinner combo/plate comes with the main dish, red beans & rice, and cabbage which were all very tasty. My wife fell in love with the fish. She added Tabasco to hers and I added a little cayenne pepper to my rice for an extra kick. I had a very pleasant experience at IRIE and will be taking my family their very soon on my next visit to dine-in.
