Review content:
At the Dollar Tree, EVERYTHING is a dollar. Some things are definitely overpriced at a dollar, and others are a pretty good deal.
Kids toys usually last a day or two, but every once in a while we find something there that makes it a week or two. Hey! It's a dollar!
I have found some great scrap booking items and made really cute gift bags from canvas totes and fun pampering items for under around $8 each. And by the way, these were not party gift bags, but gifts for teen aged girls on their 18th birthday, and they were very well received.
Just today I got Easter Baskets and lots of filler items like sidewalk chalk, water squirters, bubbles, coloring books, cute body scrubbers for the bath or shower, Easter themed pencils and 3 bags of 18 count eggs, all for $16. Did I mention the "baskets" are sand pails with shovels?
However, I should mention that I didn't buy any candy there because I really didn't recognize the brands and the chocolate looked very cheap and waxy. I will fork out $1.50 a bag at another store for the name brand stuff.
The Dollar Tree is a great store to check out every 2 or 3 weeks, just to see what they have in. You never know what you might find there.
