What new name do I think JoAnn Fabrics should have? How about JoAnn Crafts. When practically 40% or less of a store is dedicated to fabric, I really think it's misleading to call yourself a fabric store.
Most people do realize that JoAnn Fabrics is much, much more than a fabric store, so I am sure it's not a problem to keep "Fabric" in their name. However, I do enjoy fabric and am not impressed with the selection or quality at JoAnn. I suppose sewing is most likely going the way of the dinosaur, so it probably makes good business sense for JoAnn's not to have a great selection or spend money on keeping quality fabrics in stock.
I must say, JoAnn has wonderful sales and it's easy to get on the mailing list and get great coupons every so often. There are wonderful home decorating items and knick knacks for every single holiday and season. Plus, a huge selection of things for every crafters need.
