Have you ever noticed that every GAP store has a certain smell? Not entirely unpleasant, but something about it.... gives me a headache whenever I walk in. Maybe its the wood displays. Besides that small detail, the GAP is always trying to fit in with today's fashion world.... always unsuccessfully in my opinion. The Sarah Jessica Parker adds were good for business, but the sizing is so boxy and overall wonky enough that nothing ever looked good when actually put on. As for the jeans, I have been impressed lately with their new lines, curvy, long and lean, etc... wearing a long and lean right now actually and they fit pretty well. Compared with my other jeans though, they're still regulated to partially cloudy school days... just not the best quality. They are raising prices but the same clothes seem to be coming out with each new seasonal line. If they would take the inspiration from their Sarah Jessica Parker lines and just run with them, then they might have something. But the continual dependence on classics (khakis etc) keeps the GAP out of the fashion spotlight for most of the time. please note: this is just my opinion, don't get snippy with me about this! we all have different tastes, and I am just expressing mine. :-)
