Review content:
My friends and I stopped by the Parlor because we had an hour before a movie (why else would anybody go there). The place did not look crowded at all, yet the bouncer at the door immediately blocked the doorway and shouted at us to get in line. Umm... there is no line big guy. So this meathead doorman held us at the front door for 5 minutes, just because he could. What the hell?
Finally after getting inside we realized why we stay in Seattle to go out to bars. The Parlor is yet another great example of East Side wannabe yuppie hangout. Fights seem to breakout constantly among the local meatheads as well as the gold diggers with the bleached hair and fat asses. The entire bar and billiard area is crawling with bouncers who like to pretend they are secret service with their ear pieces. If you really need that kind of security at your bar, I don't want to be there.
I agree with other reviews that the employees and management will treat you like garbage if you are not dressed up. Typical Bellevue idiot markup. A glass of tap beer will cost you $8 - heaven forbid you purchase a mixed drink. Hey Parlor - you are located on the top floor of an empty mall that people only go to when they want to see a movie. You're not a trendy nightclub at the top of a hotel in Vegas. Get over yourself.
In short, if you want to go to a bar/pool hall just go to downtown Seattle (belltown billiards, the garage, etc). Bellevue is lame and the Parlor is just another reason why. Convince at least one other person not to go to the Parlor and make the world a better place. If we all work together, it will go out of business in a year. I'd rather have one of those year-round Christmas stores occupying that space.
Pros: It will go out of business soon
Cons: Overpriced; Fights; Bad employees
