Review content:
Skippy's Veg Out is in the Southwedge area of Rochester, in the same spot where Slice of Life used to be (A Feminist Vegetarian Cafe). The Chef/Owner was a Chef in it's past incarnation. The food is beyond great! They have tasty appetizers, Nachos piled with peppers and onions and Buffalo Tempeh strips (for ex-carnivores who loved Buffalo Wings)...Every dish is filling and tempting from Biscuits & 'Gravy', Tofu Fish Sandwich, a Lentil Club, Buffalo Tempeh Sandwich, to a variety of hearty soups and salads. Even non-vegetarians I have brought have loved the food here. The surroundings can't be beat, either. The atmosphere is casual and friendly and the walls have murals of trees and lights strung around. It all makes for a very welcoming restaurant. The prices are also easy on your pocketbook. :)
