Businiess name:  Nana's Soup House
Review by:  Starving UW S.
Review content:
Nana's Soup House on 55th is a cozy, intimate cafe that wins atmosphere points but perhaps loses on prices. Though no Seinfeld-esque Soup Nazis reign here (the staff is very casual and friendly), the prices are a bit out there for a small bowl of soup. My lunch partner ordered a slightly larger bowl of soup than mine own (for a higher price) but to both our dismays, both soups arrived in the same bowls.... he was even tempted to go and ask for the lost difference! The wait can be a little long just for a bowl of soup (what else do you have to do but ladle it out?) and even longer if you order a sandwich/salad. Expect to see a lot of kids around also... the small space can get a tad noisy so I'd opt for a far-back booth if you can snag one. That said, the quality of the soup/salads/sandwiches etc is top-notch. The menu offers vegan, vegetarian, and meat soup sections that allows everyone to find something. Just good ol' soup. I'd suggest the the vegan lentil.... yummmmmmy!
