Review content:
I have many younger friends, so I attended a teen night at the Myth. I will never do that again.
First off, Mothers: Do you know what your daughters are leaving the house in? The majority of the girls were wearing bras and underwear only. Another large section were wearing tiny skirts or shorts, and shirts with their mid-drift hanging out, which I don't find particularily offensive, but I only counted a handfull of sensible girls wearing jeans, and a relatively conservative top. Now, what girls choose to wear is completely up to them, but at a teen night where there is a mix of 16-20 year olds? If a 20 year old male walks up to a 16 year old girl, many people would say IF anything happens between them, that's illegal.
To the staff of the Myth: Do you really want that on your name? If I hadn't watched it happened and only heard about it, I would still be appalled and never want to come to your establishment.
Second off, going off what I previously said. As I was dancing, I was watching a group of four girls dancing. A group of guys walked up to them and started dancing with them. Now that's what clubbing is all about. I understand that. But I watched one of the kids begin to rub down the girl he was with, and she became extremely uncomfortable and walked away. This girl was not in a bra and underwear, and I would consider her outfit to be relatively conservative compared to others. As a young woman, this tells me that there is no strenghth in numbers like we were so oftenly preached. What can women do to have a little fun and be used so easily?
When I can't even go to the Myth when the target audience is 16-20 and feel safe, I'd hate to see what a regular night at the Myth is like.
On the other hand, the DJ was awesome. He interacted occasionally and played good music to dance to. The scene was very fun.
Pros: Played good music
Cons: Kind of crowded for the space
