Review content:
Let me state this first and get it out of the way. I hate banking. When I first heard about internet banking I was thrilled. No more long lines and listless, machine like tellers who can hardly seem to remember their own names, let alone yours.
A couple of years ago, a friend went to work for Teachers Credit Union. About the same time, they were doing a free kids savings account promotion. So I stopped in and opened a new savings and checking account and the accounts for my girls. I was expecting a little more than the usual solemn, funeral home-like experience, as TCU was the 'new game in town' and out to prove they were the best, according to their own ads. What I got seemed rather like the royal treatment compared to my previous experiences. And it's been that way ever since. They all know my children and myself by name, and they are more than helpful. I do utilize their online access, but I have no qualms about stopping in the Credit Union either.
