Review content:
The Center Stage Cafe borrows its theme from the nearby Eastman School, and labels the sections of menu with corresponding artsy names. Once you've gotten over that bit of cheesiness, it is a decent place (the local students affectionately call it the "smelly deli"). They offer all of your basic sandwiches, soups, salads and side dishes, with some desserts thrown in. The sandwiches are good-sized and come with chips. My favorite lunch here in the winter is the chili. The cookies here are definitely not as good as the ones across the street at Java's.
