If you are thinking of donating to this thrift store and want them to pick it up, DON'T DO IT!!!! We made an appointment to have stuff taken away. We called them twice to say "Do you take this stuff?" Books, toys, knick knacks, ALL in good condition. They said yes they would take it. We then called to ask if they would take a hutch that had a piece of glass that was broken but could easily be replaced, they said yes. So we went 3 days getting stuff ready. I took out the hutch, which is big and was hard to get out of the house. The truck comes and the driver says that he will take nothing but the entertainment center because nothing is selling at the store and they would just have to take it to the dump anyway. He says that it's the driver's choice what they will take. We call to complain and they said that yes but they only tell people that if they are picking up a couch or a washer so apparently they are making a lot of people angry. I could understand it if we had broken or dirty knick knacks, toys etc. Everything was in close to pristine condition(except the hutch). We were getting rid of stuff because we HAVE too much stuff. Then driver barely looked at anything. We did NOT let him have the entertainment center after all that. It's very frustrating so we are taking our stuff elsewhere. Regardless of the good the Rescue Mission does, I will never donate anything there again. I will not even drop stuff at there facility.
