When I got married~ 8 years ao wewent to Davids Bridal for both my gown and my attendants. Definitely not a fullservice, wait-on-you type of boutique but to me the prices sure made up for that. I am a bargain hunter by nature so I don't mind doing my own leg-work.... In fact I prefer it because I never fully trust sales people to find me what I want instead of what they want to sell me-lol. I have frustrated more than one sales person that way:)
Anyway, Davids Bridal, Yes. I did find the dress from the magazine I really had wanted for a modest $300 but then we found the clearance rack and fell in love............with a $100 dress! YAY! It had been a floor model and we had a friend who was retired from making wedding dresses so she promised to fix and alter what we found for our wedding gift. Saved mucho $ there :) We also went with 2 of our 4 Bridesmaids and bought all 4 beautiful dresses with their assistance and complimentary long-distance calls they let us make to figure this all out. We had planned on just looking but again, when my girls found the dress they loved it was clearance rack and only had a few left.
All in all, the gowns were great, prices wonderful, and service -although not totally attentive- was good with alot of patience :)
