This little gem is all about the unexpected. At first glance, it looks like nothing more than a typical take-out joint from the outside. Step inside though, and find yourself in a clean, neat little bistro style restaurant. Then you notice the sushi bar running along the far wall. Sushi? In a Chinese restaurant? Hmmm. Well the food must be a compromise too. NOT! The Chinese cuisine is all about fresh ingredients, surprising given the extensive menu. Try a chef special, not always that special at most Chinese restaurants, but definitely what you want here. The sushi menu is also very comprehensive, and they carry some of the more exotic choices like toro and white tuna. Their saba (mackeral) is some of the freshest I've ever had, with just a hint of the vinegar normally used to preserve less fresh fish. The skin still had the pearlescent sheen of a fish fresh out of the water. They also have a huge variety of rolls, worth the return visit.
