When I first moved to the Poconos the first place I ate at was Muller's Diner. I went there alot at first. They have a large menu filled with a variety of meals. The prices are also good. The diner itself is comfortable with booths available for smokers and a separate dining area with tables for non-smokers.
The food is average. I never ordered anything horrible tasting, but I also never ordered anything that was so great that I would tell others about it. They do give you pretty big portion for a great price.
The reason I stopped going to Muller's is the service. There is one older lady that served us most of the time when I first started going to Muller's and she was excellent. She was kind and polite and always on top of getting you what you need.
After awhile though I started getting a younger girl as a waitress. This girl was very rude. She would actually have a tone and give you a dirty look if you ask for something. The last time I was there I had a chicken fingers basket and asked when I ordered it for honey mustard sauce. When the meal was brought out I kindly asked the waitress for honey mustard sauce since it was missing. She gave me a dirty look, sighed, and rolled her eyes at me. She went to get the sauce, but didnt come back for awhile. I then saw her at the counter chatting with one of the other waitresses. I said to my b/f I really wanted the sauce, but was kinda shy to ask for it again so I proceeded to eat my chicken but my b/f insisted on getting my sauce for me. He called her over and asked for the sauce again. She gave him a another dirty look but this time brought the sauce right away. This same thing happen when we ate there before but it was my friend's tartar sauce for her fish. We were always polite to this girl but she was obviously always having a bad day. Needless to say we stopped going to Muller's b/c even though the food is not bad and its cheap we didnt want to take a chance of getting waited on by this girl. This was awhile ago so maybe the girl doesnt work there anymore. So if you want to have big portions for a cheap price and dont mind a little attitude then its not too bad a place to try.
