I am reluctant to write this review, for fear that Judy’s followers will flock to this restaurant. Yamachan is a very small hole-in-the-wall restaurant right before the Bike Shop on King Street. They don’t have a liquor license, so bring your own. Instead, you’ll find a very high quality of Japanese food at very reasonable prices. The tempura is light and crispy; the sashimi is your standard grade of maguro. Their butterfish is lightly seasoned and enjoyable. For about $12, you can have a combination of two choices from their teishoku menu. The portions are adequate but worth the price.
