Businiess name:  Pomodoro Pizzaria

Review content:
We talked to the waiter about what kind of toppings they use and opted for a (ground) sausage, fresh mushroom and eggplant pizza. He disappeared and was nowhere to be found; the restaurant was not busy. Pizza finally came out with with SLICED sausage (not ground sausage as the waiter told us they used...this wasn't so bad). Worse of all, they used CANNED MUSHROOMS as opposed to FRESH MUSHROOMS. Everyone else's pizza had fresh mushrooms. We pointed this out, and for a few minutes they argued with us that they were 'FRESH' Mushrooms until one of the other staff who actually knew about pizza toppings came over and confirmed our claim. They wisked our pizza off and, almost threateningly, said..."They're going to remake your pizza...but you won't get mushrooms". Their story was that they ran out of fresh mushrooms. How can you specifically discuss the types of pizza ingredients you use with your customer and then get it so terribly wrong? Don't tell us you have it when you don't; it's really that simple. We would've ordered something else. Just TELL US. We were starving, so instead of waiting another half hour for another pizza we opted to take the original pie and eat it. We choked it down. We took a few bites of my son's chicken fingers as well. The co-owner, Bill, came over and apologized for the mistake and confidently stated that they 'never use canned mushrooms' and that the chef must have, in his words, 'brought them in from outside' because they would NEVER EVER use such a lousy ingredient. Actions speak louder than words. After all their apologies were said, it did not amount to anything. They still charged us full price for everything even though we were clearly unhappy with our food. We paid for the $20 pizza and left a minimum 15% tip. They might have other good food there, but we'll never find out because we're never going back. At least the chicken fingers were good. Pros: none Cons: Poor quality food and terrible service; wait staff disingenuous
