Businiess name:  The Tasting Room-Seattle
Review by:  Patrick M.
Review content:
This is a most unusual wine shop for Seattle or elsewhere. First, not many wine shops or tasting rooms have you greeted with a dog. Stanley is an aged yet still engaging and gently playful Golden Retriever who makes quick friends of all dog lovers and some who are not. Jen is extraordinarily knowledgeable about Washington State wines from "small quantity" "high-quality" wineries. The fact that you can go in and taste before you buy is a definite benefit. Expect the wines to have a great deal of personality. As such, a few I did not particularly like, but most were really superb finds. Jen's knowledge of wines is only exceeded by her memory and engaging personality. I live in Florida but go by the Tasting Room almost every time I am in Seattle. Jen always remembers me, my partner (Karen) and trips that I was scheduled to take several months previously. Her easy manner makes the tasting experience a delight. Occasionally a business decides to do things a bit differently and the right combination of people, product and atmosphere come together. The Tasting Room is one such place. If you even like wine, the Tasting Room is an experience that I think you will find memorable. If you really enjoy wine and are in Seattle, a visit is a "must".
