Review content:
I grew up in LA and remember my mom taking us to the La Brea Tar Pits in the '70's. Of course, back in those days, I think I thought the Mammoths were real. When we went down to LA to visit my niece and nephews, we took them and my kids here. I had no idea that they still dig for fossils there. My son is a dinosaur freak and while there were no dinosaurs here, there were giant sloths and American lions (it's fascinating to think that lions roamed down Wilshire Blvd). When I was a kid, I wanted to go here more often, but I don't think I would take MY kids there that often either.
