My husband and I go out to eat every other Friday and we were looking for something different. We usually have Mexican or Chinese. Neither of us had a taste for either of those. I suggested we go to downtown LaGrange and try one of the restaurants in the downtown area. We decided to meet right after work. I parked on the north end and my husband parked on the south end. He called me on my cell to tell me that he got out of his car and the most heavenly smell of roasted garlic hit him when he walked past a little restaurant called Via Bella. We decided to try it. We were not sorry. The wait staff brought us fresh Italian bread, olive oil with a taste of garlic and whipped butter. I ordered one of the night's specials. The Chicken Maria. It consists of 3 generous pieces of chicken breast covered in lemon butter and crab meat sauce. Under the chicken is angel hair pasta. I took one bite and I swear I was transported to heaven. My taste buds were alive. I thought there wouldn't be enough on my plate to satifsy me, but I was wrong. I took half of the food home and enjoyed the leftovers later in the evening. The wait staff was very friendly. My water glass and beverage was continuously filled. The atmosphere was perfect. The lighting gave the restaurant a romantic feeling. I can't wait to go there again.
