I am not a seamstress nor do I play one on tv. When faced with a fabric problem I panic and call my mom, who is a seamstress. Sometimes, though, I do have to do things that require a trip to the fabric store. For example, purchasing a new button and some thread to fix my winter coat. I also end up needing things for kids school projects and costumes. I find that Jo-Ann Fabrics usually has exactly what I need. As a matter of fact I even somehow created my front room curtains without sewing using fabric found at Jo-Ann. The employees are all very able to answer any questions I have and help me quite a bit. Most recently I needed to purchase a replacement zipper for a skirt. I was not doing the repair work but needed to make the purchase. I was clueless but the store employee helped me find the correct item without making me feel stupid. I appreciate all their help. I also like the assortment of holiday and everyday decorating and craft items.
