Here in Traverse City we like to call the tourists "fudgies." And it's not a coincidence that they all seem to hang out at the Fudge Shops. Murdick's Fudge is definitely the place to stop (the natives hang out there too!) They have amazing fudge (their most popular, they say, is their chocolate even though they have a variety of other flavors including several flavors that feature the fruit of TC: cherries). They also have wonderful peanut brittles and carry a great selection of jams and other treasures to take back after a visit to Traverse City. They have a location downtown as well as a location out in Acme. This is a definite stop while in Traverse City
