If you're planning a trip to Hogle Zoo, make sure you plan it on a day with average weather/temperatures. Choosing a really hot day to go will cause you to miss out on seeing a big chunk of the animals. In the extreme heat, many are kept in different areas that are not available to the public for viewing.
Overall, Hogle Zoo is a decent zoo for the size. On a good day, you will have the opportunity to see many interesting animals from all over the world. Kids love this place and it brings back many childhood memories for adults.
