Review content:
On a recent vacation to Walt Disney World, we decided to stay at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge.
We were really looking forward to seeing tons of African animals all over the place after reading of the resort's having many. However, there were not as many animals as I would have liked. There seemed to be a higher concentration of animals exclusively in the extremely high priced sections of the resort, and those were not accessible by the average guest.
There were giraffes (as shown in the picture I have shown here), zebras, assorted birds and other smaller animals native to Africa.
The cast members that were at the overlooks shared plenty of information about the animals and the countries of Africa, which was quite nice.
The baby giraffe was the best sight of all, and to our surprise, it managed to come quite close!
The resort was a bit dark, however the restaurants and pool areas were very nice. The restaurant Boma was terrific, and had a fair price and spectacular assortment of foods.
