This unique Mediterranean restaurant and hookah bar has a lot to offer. The exciting ambiance is generated through hot red colors strewn about and exotic Middle Eastern tapestires thrown at every angle. There is a room called the Cresent room where you can sit on pillows and eat with your hands, which we found cozy and fun. There is also a traditional dining room where you can have access to silverware for the less adventurous. The bar area is smaller than I imagined but is decorated with earth colors and oddly shaped dim lamps above your head. There is a lounge area where you can ask for a hookah-only $15.00. The first time we went we got Peach mixed with Jasmine which was wonderful! It was the perfect blend of flavor yet it wasn't overpowering. A second time we went we tried Strawberry which we all hated...it was way too strong for all of us. We also had Mango which wasn't bad but wasn't as good as the Peach/Jasmine concoction. The food was pretty good, I had the boullibasse which was tasty but not out of this world. The service was very attentive. If you are thinking about where to have a birthday gathering, Tizi Melloul is a great choice!
