I don’t remember anything about my first few days here. I know that when I started to wake up, I was so confused and scared. The staff and my sister were great support and got me through that. I was on a ventilator, couldn’t talk or walk or eat. The nurses and rehab and respiratory therapists brought me such a long way from where I started. Now I’m dressed, eating lunch, and waiting for my ride to come pick me up and I can walk to the car and go home. I am very grateful for everything everyone did for me. I have a job interview on Monday. I am ready to go on with my life.
