Review content:
On April 12th we had booked a one night stay with Embassy Suites Mandalay Beach. On April 13th I woke up to find we were robbed in our hotel room. My phone was blowing up from my bank and I realized my credit card(s) had been compromised. I went to grab my wallet from my purse to call banks and when I opened it all of my credit cards, debit cards and drivers license were gone as well as the keys to my house and car. Yes, our CAR was STOLEN too from the hotel parking garage. A lot of the previous one star reviews about terrible construction being done on the hotel right now is true, but what is also true is that the hotel has absolutely NO SECURITY CAMERAS on the hotel grounds with the exception of the entrance and exit to the parking garage. So there are hundreds of contracted workers running around, and they literally have no idea who is in and out of their hotel. I was shocked to find out that the hotel has absolutely no security cameras anywhere on the grounds and even more shocked to find out from the police officer taking our report and finger printing our room that an incident almost identical to ours happened just a few months earlier. So that means even after someone else's room was broken into, their personal items stolen, along with their car, the hotel still didn't ramp up security, nor are there any warning signs that such incidents have occurred. They would like to sweep these incidents under the carpet.
