Review content:
My mother, having just tested positive for COVID, called Hinson Management about making an HOA payment. As she was trying to pay her bill, Gretchin did not even express concern for her condition and instead told her that she had plenty of time to pay this bill before contracting COVID-19, a virus that has killed nearly half a million Americans. This is so incredibly tone-deaf to my mother's condition, and I was appalled. Upon offering the option of paying with a credit card at an increased and some other no-contact mailing service, Gretchin informed my mother that she would have to take the risk of putting the check in the mail. I could not believe that any company would advise a customer to put their own employees and the mail service employees at this risk with the knowledge that the customer was COVID-positive. The envelope would almost certainly be contaminated. After hearing this, I decided to call this company to recommend that this is an unsafe suggestion and suggest that they speak more considerately towards their customers in the future.
A few days later, I remembered that I wanted to make this call and did so on my commute to work. Upon Gretchin answering the call, she insisted she had caller ID and that I had just called several times. I assumed that my caller ID displayed the same last name as my mother, but regardless, this is still incredibly unprofessional. I spoke with Gretchin for less than 10 minutes, the majority of which she spoke very loudly over me in a very unprofessional tone. She told me I was not making legitimate arguments regarding the company's unsafe practice; however, I could not communicate these due to Gretchin yelling. She also informed me that Hinson Management did not want to serve the neighborhood where my family resides because "everyone there thinks they deserve special treatment." She then told me never to call again and hung up the phone.
