The opportunity to have had the chance to go to NDFW was a gift. Looking back I remember it very clearly how friendly everyone was there. I can’t say 1 bad thing about anything there. I was there only maybe 1-2 hours at the most, and I regret to say I wasn’t done yet. ?? however about 3months later I went to detox then the Lynn House, and managed to stay sober 4 months.(the would be my entire stay there) the night I left I drank and was using my drug of choice (meth,Xanax and alcohol) with-in 2 hours. That was September of 2015. And i haven’t been able to put more then two weeks of sobriety together since. Today i struggle with my addiction daily and use all day every. Im on anti-depressant and anti-anxiety prescription drugs as well.
If you have the opportunity to get to go to New Directions for Women, please stay! It might save your life I feel it would’ve gave me back mine. Today my family and most of my kids suffer from my addiction. All they want is for their mother to be ok, as well as anyone who knows and loves me. My heart is beat up, I’m tired ,I’m filled with fear, guilt and self hatred.
