Review content:
We've been saving for new counter tops for a long time. We selected Floform from other vendors to do our counters because we were impressed with their professionalism, quality reputation, and beautiful stone selection. The vendor, templater, and customer service representative were careful, communicative, and exact in their work. We expected the same caliber when it came to the installation, but we were disappointed in the end. The pre-installation tear out was rough - not as careful as the company had described when telling us what to expect. For example, the window trim that sat on top of our old counter was cut about half an inch above where it should have been in order to fit the new counter top, leaving an unsightly gap. We knew it would need to be cut, but we were told it would be a much more conservative trim. To their credit, the installation team tried to caulk it to make it look better. The other major disappointment was the sink installation. We had purchased a new sink for the install and the templater had measured it exactly for the cut. But the installation team installed it crooked, such that the faucet hole did not line up with the hole drilled in the counter (which they tried to fix by drilling a new hole through the sink), and the counter overhung significantly more in a few areas over the undermount sink. Things we were happy about: the stone is beautiful, and the seam between the two slabs looks amazing and inconspicuous. The installation team was casual throughout the whole process, even live-streaming video of a soccer game while doing the installation, which likely contributed to their distracted mistakes. They were fast but seemed to be rushing through it. We had been looking forward to these counter tops since buying the home, and we certainly expected much better. We will not be recommending Floform because of the poor-quality installation, and we may even caution friends against it per our experience.
