Al –
We believe our pricing is market competitive, but it all depends on who you compare us against. Were they licensed contractor, fully insured in case somebody was hurt or your home was damaged during the job? Do they have a great online reputation that proves they do quality work and that they stand behind that work (return as needed) when issues arise? Did they answer your call live, or let you roll to a voice mail? Did you get a scheduled appointment time and on-time arrival by a company employee that had been background checked and drug screened for your safety? Did that employee have 20+ years of paid professional experience and was he capable of handling a wide range of needs around your home the day of your project?
We are not the most expensive company in town, nor are we the cheapest. I’ve had many customers tell me what another ‘guy’ quoted them and they wonder why our price was higher. The other ‘guy’ wasn’t a company. Wasn’t licensed or insured, couldn’t be found on the BBB site, had no online reputation and had no office you could visit if something went wrong. If all goes well with one of these guys you might think you got a bargain, but if things go wrong you are totally exposed.
Everybody loves what Mr. Handyman stands for … Safety, Quality, Dependability …. But some want it at that other ‘guys’ price and we’re simply worth more than that.
