I have been going to Paw Prints for 20+ years and I always thought they were awesome. Well, ever since Penny left, they have gone downhill fast! I took my dog in because he had to have his second dose of medicine for a tapeworm, get groomed, and look at this strange red, circular sore on his stomach. While he was there, they called me and said they thought he had a bladder infection also because he had green discharge coming out of his penis. They did all this testing, including a urinalysis (he ended up having a terrible bladder infection), culture, skin scrape, and other testing to make sure the red sore wasn't ringworm or a staph infection, which are transferable to humans. That obviously freaked me out. So of course instead of a $150 bill, it quickly turned into a $400 bill. I don't have that kind of money so I had to ask my parents to help me out. I also had to start buying expensive "prescription" medicine (Royal Canin Urinary S/O). A couple months go by and I notice my dog is drinking more water again and urinating a lot. I was so freaking annoyed since I was paying for that stupid expensive "prescription" food and it appeared that it wasn't even working. So I decided to try another vet that did a full body exam including an ultrasound and urinalysis to make sure my dog didn't have a bladder infection or stones in his bladder. Well guess what? He had another bladder infection AND bladder stones...and when I say he had bladder stones, I mean he had a TON of stones. To say I was angry is an understatement. I asked the vet why he would have stones since I was buying that stupid food. The vet said, "he most likely had the stones before you started the food." Ummm, what???? So in other words, Paw Prints didn't even check for stones!!! WHY NOT??? I am SO pissed! Now I have to pay between $800-$1100 to have them surgically removed since there are so many of them. Thank goodness I just received my tax refund or me and my dog would be screwed. Like I said, I have been a loyal client for 20+ years....
