Review content:
Dr. Cobler could have killed my mother. My mom went to her with chest pain in May 2017 and shortness of breath - classic signs of heart trouble. Dr. Cobler did a full evaluation including a stress test and other tests and told my mom her heart was perfectly fine. Several weeks later my Mom came to visit me in South Carolina, where I took her to the emergency room, and they performed quadruple bypass surgery telling us how lucky we were as she was on the verge of a massive coronary that would have killed her. My Mom went back to Dr. Cobler after returning to buffalo several weeks later for follow-up to get a therapy referral, with the idea she would find another cardiologist later. Dr. Cobler not only did not apologize or show any sign of remorse for this horrible mistake, she was accusatory and actually blamed my mom and said this happened because she did not take her statin drugs regularly. She also told my mom she could not drive, even though the heart surgeon in SC said she was ok to drive after an evaluation. Dr. Cobler's reason was that is was just standard practice to not drive for six weeks after the surgery - what? My mom lives on her own so not being able to drive is a big deal. Finally, the surgeon in SC was recommending we start weaning her off the blood pressure med because her pressure had come down after the surgery. Dr. Cobler did not take her off the blood pressure med, and even added a second blood pressure med! If I could rate her a zero I would.
