Review content:
Snyder was called due to a suspected valve problem in a new Goodman A/C causing freezing. They came out fast same day and said yes that TXV valve is bad. Now I need the cost to replace it which in reality (I did it myself) is a 1.5 hour job start to stop, and I will give you 2 hours for a slow person. Little if any Freon was needed because you pump the unit down. The TXV valve from the Jacksonville supplier cost me $36. I even got a container of 410 Freon that was $76. So my total job in parts cost $112. Snyder quoted me $850 for the whole job. My air handler bought new just a year ago was $750. You do the math they are charging $738 for labor which equates to $369 an hour. In reality the whole job should have cost $369. I get making a profit but this is absurd. Another local company said right at $600 which is still way high. Might as well take a class and become your own repair person if this is how they will take advantage of you. What a bunch of $@!#%. Mine is now running perfect at $112.
