Mr. Rene S. Alcoverde Jr., was my lawyer in a family law case.
During our consultation appointment, I appreciated that Mr. Alcoverde took the time to explain what the legal ramifications of the case to be litigated were and what some of the legal terms meant.
Mr. Alcoverde was forthcoming about what legal strategies, he thought, would best support a positive outcome, but was careful not to over-promise anything. So going in my expectations were managed.
The absence of high-pressure sales tactics in his presentation, his willingness to refer me to speak to another lawyer to help me make an informed decision on who to hire, and his calm and professional demeanor are factors that led me to retain his services over those of three other lawyers I’d already spoken to.
Leading up to the first court date, Mr. Alcoverde was prompt with filing the necessary paperwork in court, sharing status update about my case, and answering any questions I had.
The invoices I received from his office were very detailed and transparent. I never got the sense that he was using any gimmicks to run up billable hours. He was efficient in his handling of the legal matter at hand.
During the proceedings, Mr. Alcoverde remained proactive and informative on the progress of the case, explaining how the positions of the other parties involved would/could affect his initial strategy.
At the conclusion of the case, Mr. Alcoverde followed up with me and made sure I knew that he and his staff were willing to assist with any lingering questions I may have.
Throughout this ordeal, I felt confident that, win or lose, Mr. Alcoverde was providing me with vigorous and competent representation, without resorting to vitriol to make his case. In the end I won my case and Mr. Alcoverde’s help with navigating the legal landscape during an emotionally stressing time was greatly appreciated. I highly recommend using his services should you need legal assistance.
