CharityDine is a joke! They emailed me that they are suspending my ability to purchase certificates for one of our favorite restuarants, Leftovers, in Jupiter, FL, because they "must make sure that our restaurants do not become inundated with too many people. We would like to sell as many certificates as possible to our members, but must also protect our restaurants as well." I bought 6 certificates over the past 6 months! (Far from gobbling up the entire supply of South FL Leftovers certificates!!) Then, when I told them I'd call them out on Social Media and inform the restaurant about their practice, the got nasty: "We have been nothing but professional and polite with you until now. For the record, we make these decisions; this is not made by Leftovers, nor any one of our other restaurant partners. We always encourage our customers to share things about us on social media, etc, but would advise you be honest and not disparage us. We consider your response threatening and will aggressively defend ourselves should your actions warrant it. You have clearly demonstrated that you intend to cause problems for Charity Dine, which we will not accept. You have created controversy from a benign, standard notice which is sent to maintain everyone's equal chance to use certificates." Well, I'm shaking in my shoes from the anonymous customer service warning!! Bring it on, CharityDine! Do yourself a favor and use Groupon or Living Social, not these jerks!
