I called Hutchinson to do a diagnostic on my A/C system prior to summer. My A/C system was approximately 30 years old and had been giving me problems every summer so it was no surprise when the technician told me the unit had some issues. Some bad valves needed to be replaced as well as it needed to be recharged with coolant. Very expensive repairs. I inquired about the cost of a new unit. A new much more efficient unit would run $9000 installed. More money than I had in the bank. The technician told me about the Hero Program run by the State of California to help homeowners upgrade their A/C units to more efficient ones. This program, if I qualified, would finance 100% of the cost and the payments would be put onto my property taxes and I would be able to declare it on my taxes. He made a phone call to the Hero people and I got approved over the phone. The technician was so helpful and very professional. Orlando Hutchinson and his wife Teresa got the paperwork filled out and delivered it personally for my signature. Upon final approval of the paperwork and delivery of the A/C units they went to work on the installation. It took a couple of days to get both units installed (one outside and one in the attic). They arrived on time and worked non stop to get everything working as it was pretty warm outside. Orlando always kept me informed of their progress. On the final day of installation Orlando worked all day and didn't leave until 9:00 pm making sure everything was perfect with the units operation. Orlando and his team handled all the permits, paperwork, testing....everything. I have never worked with a company that was so committed to quality and service. Believe me, if you need A/C service they will not disappoint. They are there when you need them!!!
